Why was this an important step?
In the digital age, data is one of our most valuable resources. Proper handling and protection require comprehensive regulation, auditable operations, and continuous improvement. ISO 27001 not only provides this framework but also offers an opportunity to gain a competitive advantage and strengthen our customers’ trust.
How did the preparation take place?
The project was coordinated by Sejber Martin, our Information Security Manager. In addition to internal auditor training sessions, regular consultations were held with the involvement of IT and other departments to align our documentation and operational processes with the requirements of the standard. The process included:
- Rethinking data management and storage policies
- Regulating physical and digital access
- Conducting internal audits and implementing improvement proposals
- Raising employee awareness through trainings and workshops
What does this mean in practice?
After obtaining the certification, we operate within a system framework in which:
- data management is more transparent and traceable,
- the protection of sensitive data is guaranteed,
- authorizations and access rights operate under strict rules,
- risk management is planned and documented.
This not only provides answers to today’s challenges but also prepares us for future data protection expectations.
